Christmas with Missionaries

We celebrated Christmas on December 16th & 17th with our President Fry & his wife along with the missionaries in our area. Wednesday we had a Christmas eve dinner followed by a Christmas fireside. On Thursday we had some great team building activities followed by lunch and a trip to a local orphanage to visit mentally and physically handicapped children. With snow falling, temperatures around zero degrees Fahrenheit, and 20 mph winds, it felt just like Christmas. We interacted with the children by singing songs, playing games and talking with them. We left some gifts for them to open on Christmas. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

That reminds me of my Christmas in the mission field. We used to do our service at a facility with mentally and physically handicapped patients. I’m glad you were able to spend time with the other missionaries like that as well. :)

You guys are looking younger and younger! Rubbing shoulders with youth on your mission is working wonders – both for you and for them :) Your updates are great to keep us posted on how awesome you are doing. We are so thrilled for you and your experiences. (Also sending you an email) Love Steve & LeAnn
