Memorable Times With Our Senior Couples
Last week we had the opportunity to spend a few hours with some of the other senior couples who serve in Poland. Because we are all separated by quite a few miles (kilometers here), we really enjoy these opportunities to reconnect. All of us consider it a great privilege to serve in this beautiful country, and we all continue to be thankful for the guidance we receive daily from the Lord as we work in His vineyard to build up His church and strengthen these faithful Saints.
Elder and Sister Hutchinson, the Mission Office couple, came to Katowice last week to pick up their temporary residency card (they served here when they first arrived in Poland, so they applied for this card in Katowice). We are walking from the train station where we met them and are on our way to the government building.
On our way to Wroclaw, where the couples were meeting for our day together, we drove under another of Poland’s fascinating bridges which make their freeways quite interesting.
We visited a beautiful Japanese garden in the city – the Sheleys, Elder Reed, the Lloyds, and the Durrants
As we walked along the beautiful Odra River which passes through Wroclaw, we had a great view of the beautiful University of Wroclaw.
There are many attractions along the river front, including some interesting architecture.
The city square was full of activity this particular day with booths and kiosks marketing their goods. In the background is the Town Hall.
This is a view of another side of the city square. Wroclaw is indeed one of Poland’s most beautiful show pieces.
