On Easter Monday everything was closed, and the streets were deserted. The snowfall had accumulated to about 10 or 12 inches throughout the night, and everything was wearing a white blanket. It was P Day so we decided to take a walk to enjoy the beauty which was everywhere. We went to our favorite park which has a series of five small lakes and great walking paths. The woods were a sight to behold, and we enjoyed the fresh clean snow which made mounds wherever it landed.
The snow was absolutely beautiful on all the trees and bushes.
Everything was piled high with snow.
The lakes in this park which were frozen all winter and had thawed, were now starting to freeze again.
We couldn’t tell who was having more fun in the snow, the horse or the rider. The horse was galloping along beside the lake, and the man’s dog was waiting for them both on the walking path by the road. They then went off into the woods on the other side of the road.
This little boy was having fun creating his snow bunny. This park has playgrounds, tables and benches, outdoor exercise equipment, and even some ping pong tables. That is a concrete ping pong table by the trees.
The benches are comfortable, even if you get a little wet while enjoying the landscape!
We could hardly get enough of this beautiful Spring (not Winter) Wonderland. The Lord has created a most magnificent place upon which His sons and daughters reside. How thankful we are for His loving care enabling us to find joy in this life in so many different ways.
