Easter Sunday - the most precious and holy day of the year in which we commemorate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. How thankful we are to Him and our Father in Heaven for the sacrifice of His life for us. He opened the door for our eternal salvation. We had a very spiritual and uplifting sacrament meeting with excellent talks on repentance and the resurrection given by two of our Branch members. The Relief Society sisters sang one of the Primary songs, Jesus Is Risen, for the special musical number. It’s always so enjoyable to have a musical number in the sacrament meetings here.
We woke up to snowfall on Easter morning, and it certainly wasn’t a day to wear your “Easter bonnet!” The snow continued the entire day and through the night. In fact, this is the biggest snowfall we have seen since we’ve been here in Poland. After church the missionaries came over for Easter dinner. We had an Easter egg hunt before dinner, and after the meal was a spiritual time as we watched a video clip of the Savior’s last week in the Holy Land. It made us think again of our thankfulness for His mission here on earth and also thankful to be in His service as missionaries. This is the most important message we can give to the world, that He lives. We are so thankful for our faithful and obedient young missionaries, and this truly is one of the mission’s blessings for us as a senior couple – being able to do the Lord’s work with them.
