Last week our beloved Marta received her mission call. Since we are now in Katowice, we weren’t there to share in the jubilation. Elder and Sister Sheley, the senior couple who are now in Poznan, took pictures of the exciting event and sent them to us. We are so grateful to the Sheleys for their thoughtfulness so that we could share the moment via pictures. Here is how is all went:
Opening that wonderful, big white envelope. When we looked at this picture, we could almost hear her saying, “Oh, I am so excited!”
“Oh, I can’t believe it! It says the Illinois Chicago Mission!”
“And I report to the MTC in Provo on June 11th!”
Marta is calling and telling us of her call. She thanked us for all we had done to help her, and we all got a little teary.
Marta will be such an outstanding missionary, and we are thrilled beyond words with this wonderful opportunity for her to serve in Chicago. We know her family will be richly blessed by her service as one of the Lord’s choice missionaries. Congratulations, Marta! We love you!
