Missionary Zone Christmas Party

Two days after Christmas we had a missionary zone Christmas gathering in Poznan. Elders and Sisters came from Gdansk, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, and Poznan, plus President and Sister Nielson and the Assistants. It was such a great event, and the missionaries really enjoy getting together at these conferences. There was a Preach My Gospel chase (like a scripture chase), they viewed the Christmas Devotional by the First Presidency, a white elephant gift exchange, and various other things planned by the Nielsons. The Reeds were in charge of the dinner, which everyone seemed to enjoy. We sure do love being associated with these wonderful young missionaries who are so dedicated to the Lord and their responsibility as missionaries.

The Bydgoszcz Zone Missionaries - it's a pretty powerful army!

Elder Reed was one of the judges for the Preach My Gospel chase.

Cooking the meat was a concern since I have a tiny oven in our apartment and no oven at the church. We borrowed crock pots from the other zones, which the Nielsons brought when they came up. The crock pots saved the day!

This Polish scarf was one of the coveted gifts at the white elephant exchange. With the trading that went on during the exchange, the scarf went out of his hands immediately!

Elder Reed didn't keep his gift very long either. It was another coveted item to take home from Poland.

The clean-up crew got to work after everyone left for their respective cities. It was a great day for all of us.
