Merry Christmas to All!

At this beautiful and sacred time of year, we want to wish all of you, our friends and family, a very Merry Christmas. We have snow on the ground here and frost on the trees, and it’s really quite festive. Decorations are on the streets, in shops and the big malls, and in some homes. Many families decorate their Christmas trees the weekend before Christmas or on Christmas Eve, which is called Wigilia. All these visible displays of the holiday season are wonderful; but truly, the most important part of Christmas is our focus on our Savior, Jesus Christ, His birth, His life, and His atonement for us. The Spirit of Christmas is the Spirit of Christ in our lives. As He walked on this earth, He served, He healed, He taught, and most of all, He loved. His greatest gift to us was His life which He freely gave for us. Our greatest gift to Him is the giving of ourselves to others in service, compassion, and love. We pray that we will all feel the true Spirit of Christmas not only at this time of year, but throughout the months and years to come. May the Lord bless your lives this season with His Spirit – the Spirit that brings true joy and happiness into our lives.

Our love to you, Elder and Sister Reed

I think your tree is quite pretty! Only half of our tree is decorated thanks to River. He and a little friend dismantled the bottom half a few days ago.
