Halloween Party

The Branch sponsored a Halloween party for our English students, visitors, investigators, and Branch members. The party was a great success with around 30 people in attendance, some saying that this was their first Halloween party. The day is not celebrated as it is in America, rather the focus is on All Saint’s Day on November 1st. The party was fun for all with a variety of activities.

In the Primary room there was a bag of old clothes which served as costumes for a few.

The mummy was getting ready for the party!

The game of musical chairs started out the activities for the night.

The winner of musical chairs with her reward.

Some of the costumes were hilarious!

This little guy was sort of quiet, but he had a great time.

Sister Bezdjian came to the party with a tie and a name tag with one of the Elder's name on it.

We never would have recognized our Relief Society President!

Maciej and Sandra ham it up!

Scrambling to find an empty chair in the game where different Halloween characters are called out by the person in the middle of the circle.

Who could eat their doughnut the fastest without using hands? This game brought quite a few laughs from the crowd.

The walls were decorated with pumpkins which were made by the YSA last week.

Sister Allen was the architect and builder of the tree.

The final activity for the party was pumpkin carving.

The creations are starting to look pretty good!

The priesthood busy at work - Ronald (center) came to join the party after university classes. Originally from Ghana and a church member, he came to Poznan this fall to study and is a great addition to our Branch.

Some of the finished products on display - one of them looks like he ate too many doughnuts at the party!

The Sister missionaries with the children - Halloween is really for children, but the child in all of us comes out on this special day. Isn't Halloween fun?
