Putting on the Whole Armor of God

Saturday evening we had a fireside for the Branch and visitors based on the Armor of God scriptures found in Ephesians and the Doctrine and Covenants. Our spiritual armor is vital to find true joy and peace in this world. Everyone seemed interested in the topic, members and visitors alike. We had 6 visitors in the meeting, making around 18 people in attendance. It turned out to be a great evening.

The cooks were in the kitchen before the meeting getting the sandwiches ready for dinner afterwards. Grzegosz was in charge of the food and did a great job.

Elder and Sister Reed talked about the spiritual armor we need to have to prepare ourselves for eternal life. Marta was our translator for the evening.

After the initial presentation, groups were assigned to make the various parts of the armor. This is the helmet group.

Girding our loins with truth - Marian loved doing this one because one of his former trades was cobbler work.

The shield and breastplate groups working diligently

Our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace

Each group came up and put a piece of armor on Chris and explained their piece of spiritual armor. This is the spiritual man complete with his armor!

And, of course, temporal food made the evening complete.

Here are all the armor builders. How we love these wonderful Polish people!

You sure know how to combine the spiritual and fun. That’s a great picture of you both at the end. :)
