Sunday was District Conference for Kharkov. There were about 250 in attendance, and we all enjoyed learning at the feet of our leaders. We had some investigators (Elder Reed invited a woman who was standing outside the church when we approached to come in and join the meetings, and she did!) and some less active members attended as well. We heard talks addressing unity, service, compassion, tolerance, kindness, and love; they were all excellent.

After the session the Relief Society had a lunch prepared for some of the leaders and missionary couples and had asked Sister Burr and Sister Reed to bring some desserts. The Ukrainians are great cooks and know how to serve a delicious meal. We came home with both spiritual and temporal fullness – a great Sabbath!

President and Sister Fry (Mission) are in the center, left of them are President and Sister Manzhos ( Area Presidency), left of them are President and Sister Kutusov (District President and District Relief Society President), the others are members of the District and Mission Presidencies and the Relief Society Presidency. The missionary couples (Burrs and Reeds) are on the right.

I love great meetings like that! Our missionaries just spoke in Sacrament meeting yesterday (they cover 53 wards in their bike area!) and challenged the members to do more to help them find people to teach. They promised us that the Lord would put people in our path, if we would pray for it. So, I’m going to include that in my prayers more often. :)
