On September 7th of last year we entered the MTC and came to Ukraine on the 17th. It’s hard for us to believe that we have been here almost one year. It has been a year never to be imagined and never to be forgotten by us. To focus full time on being a missionary and building the Lord’s Kingdom here on earth has been one of the greatest blessings we have had in our lives. As we left California to come here, we entered the mission field fairly unfettered from the world, and that has been a great feeling. The beautiful church members and citizens of Ukraine have become a part of our lives, and we have entered also into their lives. Our faith and testimonies have grown immensely as we have studied the scriptures and the writings of the prophets, and it is a joy to testify to others of the truthfulness of the Lord’s gospel. Our love, care, and concern for each other has been richly enhanced, and we have truly enjoyed being with one another 24-7.

Our Savior lives, He loves us and has paid the price for all of us. Our Father in heaven loves us so much that He offered His Son to perform the atonement for us, as painful as it must have been for Him to witness. He wants all of us back with Him in the eternities. The Bible and the Book of Mormon go hand in hand as testimonies of God’s great plan of salvation for us. The Book of Mormon was brought forth to us in these latter days to strengthen and nourish our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to bring us the fullness of His gospel. We are thankful for the spirit of Elias with which Joseph Smith was blessed, and we are thankful for President Monson, our prophet today.

Thank you to all our blog readers for sharing our mission with us.
Our love, Elder and Sister Reed
