A CALL TO SERVE

Henry Kosak, our Eastern Europe Church Education System coordinator, just sent out a plea for all of us to notify our friends back home about some CES mission openings. They are in Kyiv, Ukraine; Tomsk, Russia; Novosibirsk, Russia; and Vladivostok, Russia. The Temple will be dedicated on August 29, and this would be a wonderful place to serve. We have talked to the CES missionaries from Russia, and every one of them thinks their mission is the greatest. And, of course, Elder and Sister Reed think that serving as a CES missionary is the best. (We are a bit biased, however!)

All of you eligible blog readers, hearken to the call! It will be one of the greatest and most rewarding experiences you have ever had. The Ten Tribes are waiting to be found, and the Lord needs all of us to help. All these benefits come from missionary service: the great opportunity to bring others to Christ, working with and loving the youth of the church, spiritual experiences every day, a stronger testimony, teaching with your eternal companion, greater gospel learning and sharing this knowledge with your eternal companion, loving your eternal companion even more than you do now, getting by on much less than you have now and realizing that it’s really okay, development of a better sense of humor, we could go on and on. Please think about this wonderful way to serve our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and to show our love for Him.

Our love,
Elder and Sister Reed

We would love to go if you guys will watch our kids for a year and half when you get back. Wouldn’t that be fun? :)

I appreciated the benefits of missionary service that you listed. My parents will be going on their mission in just over a year from now and are looking forward to it. :)
